Stomach Problems After Gastric Bypass Surgery
I know it has been a while since I have posted but I broke my arm 3 months ago and the recovery process has taken up all my extra time. Now I just found out I will have to have surgery on a torn muscle that occurred during the same fall :-(
During this whole time, I have been taking pain killers in pill form and have gotten a couple doses of steroid packs ... tough on any ones stomach but extra rough to someone who has had gastric bypass surgery. After this last steroid pack I had heartburn/acid ingestion for a week AFTER I took the last pill! The doctor believes it is all because of my gastric bypass surgery and that has sped up his decision to use surgery to fix the tear.

I had a lap band that failed. I got talked into the sleeve. Before my surgery I took two pills a day. Now I take at least 15 OTC and then my RX. I have acid indigestion continually. I am sorry I didn't replace my lap band.I hate this. I am now on the verge of malnutrition.
