Coffee mocha protein shake recipe (HOT/COLD)

Coffee mocha protein shake recipe (HOT/COLD)

Okay, I was having problems drinking enough protein during the day. After the surgery you have to drink liquid protein for the first week or two and liquid protein is SO TERIBLE! After that you can switch to protein shakes and I never went back! At first the shakes were great but it gets old drinking the same thing day after day. One day after telling a friend I miss my coffee drinks more than any other thing I couldn’t have, she thought of this twist on my protein shake. It is simple:

Check the directions of your favorite chocolate protein powder mix for the amount of liquid needed. Now use non-fat or low-fat milk for half of the total liquid and an equal amount of your favorite favored coffee for the other half. Blend the coffee/milk mixture together with the chocolate protein powder mix. Zap in the microwave for a hot chocolaty java drink, chill for an iced coffee drink or leave in the freezer for 1-2 hours for a frozen coffee drink. If your chocolate protein powder mix is not chocolaty enough, squirt in some sugar free chocolate syrup or other sugar free flavors when blending. I am printing mine as an example but the possibilities are endless.

7oz of Hazelnut coffee
7oz of fat free milk
3 scoops of Chocolate Fudge Problend 55

I am always looking for new protein shake recipes and ideas, if you have any please post it here!

My name is Linda Sousa, I am 41 years old and this picture is me at my heaviest, 305 pounds. I had Gastric Bypass surgery on Jan. 18, 2006 and as of today I have lost 74 pounds! I had planed to start this blog as soon as got home from the 2 day hospital stay, but as you can see I am three months behind. My parents have been going through some illness and I have been staying with them, helping them out. I do not even have a new picture yet but I just got a new camera and I will post some “thinner me” pictures soon!.
